Sedić families are predominantly Croats and they are mostly from Banja Luka area (Bosnia), less frequently Bosniaks (from Cazinska Krajina Region, Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Banja Luka Region, Bosnia (Banja Luka area) and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bosanska Krupa area). In Dolipolje in Middle Bosnia nearly every inhabitant had the family name Sedić.
Prevalence
About 290 people with faimily name Sedić live in Croatia today, in 120 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 30 cities and 30 other places, mostly in Zagreb (70), Zadar (30), Sisak (25), Sesvete (20), and in Slavonski Brod (15).
