In Croatia, Seder families are almost entirely Croats (from Backa, Vojvodina ), very rarely Slovaks (from Osijek ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Backa, Vojvodina and in Kosovo.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Seder live in Croatia today, in 14 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in four Croatian counties, threee cities and four other places, mostly in Zagreb (10), Cepin in Osijek area (<10), Koska in Nasice area (<10), Tribunj (<10), and in Osijek (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
