In Croatia, Salji families are predominantly Croats (from Pleternica area ), rarely Albanians (from Duga Resa ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosanian Posavina (Derventa area).
Prevalence
Only a few people with faimily name Salji live in Croatia today, in three households only. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, four cities and four other places, mostly in Sesvete (<10), Ogulin (<5), Vukovar (<5), Duga Resa (<5), and in Sveti Filip i Jakov in Biograd na moru area (<5).
