In Croatia, Sadilek families are mainly Croats (from Lipik ), rarely Czechs (from Pozega area ), and very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pozega area and in Lipik.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Sadilek live in Croatia today, in 16 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in threee Croatian counties and four other places, mostly in Kaptol in Pozega area (15), Poljana (<10), Pozega (<10), Pakrac (<5), and in Pavlovac in Grubisno Polje area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1932 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
