In Croatia, Ruško families are generally Croats (from Djurdjevac area ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Pleternica area.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Ruško live in Croatia today, in 11 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in four Croatian counties, two cities and four other places, mostly in Vir in Nin area (10), Zagreb (<10), Novacka in Djurdjevac area (<10), Slavonski Brod (<10), and in Zbjeg in Pleternica area (<5).
