In Croatia, Rstić families are mainly Croats (from Pozega ), equally Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pozega and Benkovac. In Škrabutnik in Pozega every seventh inhabitant had the family name Rstić.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Rstić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are only located in in 6 Croatian cities and 5 other places, mostly in Split (10), Pozega (<10), Skrabutnik (<10), Zagreb (<5), and in Benkovac (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1935 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
