Rotim families are Croats and they are mostly from Rama (north Herzegovina). According to some sources they are from Rotimalj near Stolac (east Herzegovina). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rama, Bosnia (Prozor area) and in Herzegovina (Mostar area). In Šerovina in Rama (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Rotim.

About 270 people with faimily name Rotim live in Croatia today, in 100 households. There were 0 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 23 cities and 30 other places, mostly in Zagreb (75), Ilok (25), Djakovo (15), and in Jaksic (15) and Rajsavac (15) in Pozega area.
