Rokvić families are often Serbs and they are mostly from Cazinska Krajina Region (Bosnia), less frequently Croats (from Pula ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Benkovac and Pula.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Rokvić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and threee other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Rijeka (10), Pula (<10), Vukovar (<10), and in Borovo in Vukovar area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
