Rastovski families are Croats and they are mostly from Glina. According to some sources they are from Poland (Krakow). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Karlovac and Glina. In Donje Jame in Glina every fifth inhabitant had the family name Rastovski.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Rastovski live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 130 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and four other places, mostly in Karlovac (30), Zagreb (15), Petrinja (<10), Djurdjevac (<10), and in Glina (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
