About 470 people with faimily name Raos live in Croatia today, in 190 households. There were 310 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 22 cities and 25 other places, mostly in Zagreb (90), Split (70), Vrgorac (60), Dugi Rat in Omis area (45), and in Brela in Makarska area (40).
Outside Croatia
At least two families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to the United States (1) and the Netherlands (1). Family name Raos is present in 27 countries worldwide. The family name "Raos " is used by some 300 people in Indonesia , about 200 in Mexico , and some 100 people in the United States.
