Rajak families are often Serbs and they are mostly from Glina area , less frequently Croats. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Ogulin. In Donja Gata in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every eighth inhabitant had the family name Rajak.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Rajak live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Vukovar (20), Zagreb (15), Virovitica (10), Gvozd in Glina area (<10), and in Pula (<5).
