Radovan families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Korcula , rarely Italians. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and Dubrovnik. In Radovani in Porec area every second inhabitant had the family name Radovan.
Prevalence
About 290 people with faimily name Radovan live in Croatia today, in 120 households. There were 280 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 19 cities and 35 other places, mostly in Lumbarda on the Island of Korcula (35), Dugopolje in Solin area (30), Split (25), Radovani in Porec area (25), and in Zagreb (15).
