Radeka families can be both Serbs and Croats (Pula area). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and Zadar. In Loborika in Pula area every seventh inhabitant had the family name Radeka.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Radeka live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 370 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 19 other places, mostly in Loborika in Pula area (25), Zadar (10), Pula (10), Zagreb (10), and in Podlapaca in Obrovac area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
