About 70 people with faimily name Pulek live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 90 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are only located in four Croatian cities and 6 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Strmec in Zabok area (20), Starjak (<5), Strelecko in Sisak area (<5), and in Moscenica (<5).

At least one family with this surname emigrated from Croatia to the United States. Family name Pulek is present in 10 countries on three continents. The family name "Pulek " is used by small number of people in Indonesia and small number in the United States. "Pulec " is used by some 300 people in Czech Republic , about 100 in the United States , and small number of people in Austria.
