In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bihac area) and in Gospic area. In places Međudražje and Veliki Skočaj in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every seventh inhabitant had the family name Prša.
