In Croatia, Prvan families are almost entirely Croats (from Split ), very rarely Italians (also from Split ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Slovenia.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Prvan live in Croatia today, in 19 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in only four naselja i to in Split (35), Zagreb (<5), Komiza on the Island of Vis (<5), and in Sumartin on the Island of Brac (<5).
