Prodan families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Buzet , rarely Italians (from Umag ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Buzet and Pula. In Prodani in Buzet nearly every inhabitant had the family name Prodan.
