About 120 people with faimily name Polgar live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 150 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Belica in Cakovec area (25), Zagreb (10), Osijek (<10), Slavonski Brod (<10), and in Djakovo (<10).

Family name Polgar is present in 39 countries worldwide. The family name "Polgar " is used by some 7000 people in Hungary , about 1000 in the United States , and some 1000 people in Romania.
