Pokos families are Croats and they are mostly from Varazdinske Toplice. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Varazdinske Toplice and Varazdin. In places Jalševec Svibovečki and Leskovec Toplički in Varazdinske Toplice every fifth inhabitant had the family name Pokos.
