About 280 people with faimily name Pleština live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Split (95), Klis in Solin area (75), Solin (50), Zagreb (30), and in Supetar on the Island of Brac (15).
Outside Croatia
At least three families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: the Netherlands (1), Sweden (1), and to the United States (1). Family name Pleština is present in two countries on two continents. The family name "Plestina " is used by small number of people in the United States.
