Piskor families are Croats and they are mostly from Koprivnica. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Koprivnica and Bjelovar.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Piskor live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 14 other places, mostly in Virje in Djurdjevac area (15), Zagreb (<10), Novo Virje in Djurdjevac area (<10), Bjelovar (<10), and in Novigrad Podravski in Djurdjevac area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
