In Croatia, Pindulić families are almost entirely Croats (from Rijeka ), very rarely Italians (also from Rijeka ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rijeka and on the Island of Krk.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Pindulić live in Croatia today, in 18 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in two Croatian counties, four cities and two other places, mostly in Rijeka (20), Omisalj on the Island of Krk (<10), Pula (<5), Kapelica (<5), and in Matulji in Opatija area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
