Perše families are Croats and they are mostly from Orahovica area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Karlovac. In Močile in Vrbovsko every seventh inhabitant had the family name Perše.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Perše live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Karlovac (15), Sesvete (10), Vetovo in Orahovica area (<10), and in Rijeka (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
