Perlić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Senj area , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Senj area and in Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 320 people with faimily name Perlić live in Croatia today, in 140 households. There were 340 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 27 cities and 34 other places, mostly in Zagreb (60), Krizpolje in Senj area (40), Nasice (15), Sesvete (10), and in Djakovo (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
