Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Pec live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number tripled. They are located in threee Croatian counties, two cities and 11 other places, mostly in Trnovec in Cakovec area (30), Podturen in Mursko Sredisce area (10), Dragotin in Djakovo area (<10), Cakovec (<10), and in Ostarije in Ogulin area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
