In Croatia, Pavljak families are Croats (from Krizevci ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bjelovar and Krizevci.
Prevalence
About 20 people with faimily name Pavljak live in Croatia today, in 10 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in four Croatian counties, threee cities and threee other places, mostly in Lemes (<10), Zagreb (<5), Bjelovar (<5), Krizevci (<5), and in Nova Kapela in Vrbovec area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
