Pavlić families are Croats and they are mostly from Ogulin area. According to some sources they are from Radosevica near Vares (Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Rijeka. In Radoševići in Middle Bosnia every second inhabitant had the family name Pavlić.
Prevalence
About 2200 people with faimily name Pavlić live in Croatia today, in 970 households. There were 2800 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in all Croatian counties, in 78 cities and 232 other places, mostly in Zagreb (520), Rijeka (95), Karlovac (75), Djurdjenovac in Nasice area (65), and in Osijek (60).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over eighty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
