Paradi families are Croats and they are mostly from Zlatar Bistrica area. According to some sources they are from Hungary. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Oroslavje area. In places Opasanjek and Ervenik Zlatarski in Oroslavje area every seventh inhabitant had the family name Paradi.

About 100 people with faimily name Paradi live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent.
