In Croatia, Paher families are almost entirely Croats (from Cazma ), barely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazma and Zagreb. In Andigola in Cazma every fifth inhabitant had the family name Paher.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Paher live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 70 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 6 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Zdenac in Ogulin area (<10), Novoselec in Ivanic-Grad area (<10), Tusilovic (<10), Slavonski Brod (<10), and in Ivanic-Grad (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
