They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Karlovac (30), Vukovar (15), Kolaric in Duga Resa area (10), Sjenicak Lasinjski in Jastrebarsko area (<10), and in Osijek (<10).

At least two families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to the United States. Family name Padežanin (including: Padezanin , Padezhanin ) is present in four countries on two continents. The family name "Padezanin " is used by some 90 people in the United States.
