In Croatia, Nikolla families are predominantly Albanians (from Kosovo ), rarely Croats (from the Island of Korcule ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Kosovo.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Nikolla live in Croatia today, in 14 households. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and four other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Split (10), Vela Luka on the Island of Korcula (<10), Zadar (<10), and in Stubicke Toplice in Oroslavje area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
