In Croatia, Nastić families are mainly Croats (from Rijeka area ), rarely Serbs (from Tuzla Region (Bosnia) ), and barely Bosniaks (from the Island of Cres ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rijeka and Zagreb. In Betanj in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Nastić.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Nastić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are only located in in 8 Croatian cities and four other places, mostly in Zagreb (15), Cres on the Island of Cres (<10), Buzdohanj in Rijeka area (<5), Pula (<5), and in Vukovar (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1924 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
