Musulin families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Ploce , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Ogulin and Metkovic. In Potok Musulinski in Ogulin every second inhabitant had the family name Musulin.
Prevalence
About 700 people with faimily name Musulin live in Croatia today, in 310 households. There were 610 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 37 cities and 49 other places, mostly in Stasevica (90), Metkovic (90), Zagreb (70), Rijeka (50), and in Ploce (35).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
