Mustafić families can be both Croats (the family name originates from Samobor ) and Bosniaks (from Podrinje, Bosnia), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Samobor and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Velika Kladusa area). In Radovčići in Podrinje (Bosnia) every third inhabitant had the family name Mustafić.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Mustafić live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 24 cities and 26 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Pula (25), Sisak (20), Samobor (15), and in Split (<10).
