Mujić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Semberija (Bosnia), often Bosniaks (from Podrinje, Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Slunj and Zagreb. In Glogovac in Semberia (Bosnia) every third inhabitant had the family name Mujić.

Prevalence

About 390 people with faimily name Mujić live in Croatia today, in 170 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than tripled.
They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 48 cities and 51 other places, mostly in Zagreb (85), Rijeka (30), Slavonski Brod (20), Osijek (15), and in Pula (15).

At least ten families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: Germany (5), Australia (2), the United States (1), Switzerland (1), and to Peru (1).
