Mudrinić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Knin area , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Drnis and Zagreb. In Bogatić in Knin area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Mudrinić.
Prevalence
About 340 people with faimily name Mudrinić live in Croatia today, in 140 households. There were 360 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 29 cities and 35 other places, mostly in Zagreb (85), Split (50), Rijeka (30), Satnica Djakovacka in Djakovo area (20), and in Negoslavci in Vukovar area (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
