About 50 people with faimily name Moravac live in Croatia today, in 18 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 8 cities and threee other places, mostly in Rijeka (<10), Pula (<10), Velika Paka in Ozalj area (<10), Novi Vinodolski (<5), and in Sisak (<5).
Outside Croatia
At least five families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: Canada (2), Germany (1), the United States (1), and to Australia (1). Family name Moravac is present in 8 countries on three continents. The family name "Moravac " is used by small number of people in Canada and small number in the United States.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
