Mojzeš families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Ivanec area , rarely Hungarians. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Ivanec area and in Bjelovar.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Mojzeš live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 160 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 21 cities and 21 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Slatina (15), Podgorac in Nasice area (15), Gornja Voca in Ivanec area (10), and in Ilok (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1935 in source Faculty of Humanities University of Zagreb Alumni.
