In Croatia, Mirkov families are almost entirely Croats (from Zadar area ), barely Montenegrins, and . In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zadar and in Zadar area.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Mirkov live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in four Croatian counties and another small place , mostly in Bibinje in Zadar area (55), Karlovac (<10), Zadar (<5), Rijeka (<5), and in Split (<5).
