Miliša families are Croats and they are mostly from Trogir area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Trogir area and in Sibenik. In Ložnice in Trogir area every second inhabitant had the family name Miliša.
Prevalence
About 190 people with faimily name Miliša live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 130 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 12 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Split (30), Primosten in Sibenik area (25), Sibenik (15), and in Rijeka (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
