In Croatia, Milican families are Croats (from Daruvar area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Kosovo.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Milican live in Croatia today, in 10 households. They are located in four Croatian counties, two cities and 11 other places, mostly in Virje in Djurdjevac area (<10), Stare Plavnice (<10), Nova Krivaja in Daruvar area (<10), Kendjelovec in Krizevci area (<10), and in Bokane in Slatina area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
