Mikinac families are Croats and they are mostly from Zupanja area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zupanja area and in Vinkovci.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Mikinac live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 130 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 15 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Gradiste in Zupanja area (55), Zagreb (15), Vinkovci (15), and in Nijemci (15) and Donje Novo Selo (10) in Vinkovci area.
Outside Croatia
Family name Mikinac (including: Mickinac , Mikinatz ) is present in five countries on two continents. "Mickinac " is used by small number of people in the United States.
