In Croatia, Micić families are mainly Serbs, equally Croats (from Rovinj area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Glina and Zagreb. In Majski Trtnik in Glina every sixth inhabitant had the family name Micić.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Micić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 120 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 6 other places, mostly in Majski Trtnik (<10), Zagreb (<10), Dugo Selo (<5), Glina (<5), and in Rijeka (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
