In Croatia, Matulina families are almost entirely Croats (from the Island of Losinj ), barely Slovenes (from Zadar ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zadar and on the Island of Losinj.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Matulina live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and threee other places, mostly in Silba (15), Zadar (15), Mali Losinj on the Island of Losinj (<10), Rijeka (<5), and in Vukovar (<5).
