About 120 people with faimily name Martinuš live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Varazdin (25), Lobor in Zlatar area (20), Zagreb (20), Crkovec (15), and in Osijek (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1927 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
