Mandušić families are Croats and they are mostly from Nova Gradiska area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Sibenik and in Nova Gradiska area. In Opatovac in Nova Gradiska area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Mandušić.
Prevalence
About 280 people with faimily name Mandušić live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 260 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 24 other places, mostly in Katuni in Omis area (40), Opatovac in Nova Gradiska area (35), Zagreb (30), Split (30), and in Rupe (30).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1769 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
