Malović families are Croats and they are mostly from Duga Resa. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Sisak and Karlovac. In Gršćaki in Duga Resa every third inhabitant had the family name Malović.
Prevalence
About 580 people with faimily name Malović live in Croatia today, in 260 households. There were 680 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 29 cities and 77 other places, mostly in Zagreb (75), Sisak (55), Karlovac (45), Duga Resa (30), and in Petrinja (20).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
