In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Hrvatska Kostajnica area and in Pleternica area. In Donji Dobretin in Hrvatska Kostajnica area every fifth inhabitant had the family name Malivuk.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Malivuk live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 130 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 15 other places, mostly in Beli Manastir (15), Sisak (<10), Zagreb (<10), Donji Dobretin in Hrvatska Kostajnica area (<10), and in Oriovac in Pleternica area (<10).
Outside Croatia
At least one family with this surname emigrated from Croatia to the United States. Family name Malivuk is present in 10 countries on four continents. The family name "Malivuk " is used by some 100 people in the United States and small number in Canada.
