In Croatia, Malis families are Croats (from Tuzla Region (Bosnia) ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Bosnian Krajina (Prijedor area). In Mezgraja in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) every second inhabitant had the family name Malis.
