Magić families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Ludbreg area , rarely Srbijanci (Srbija). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Varazdin and in Ludbreg area.
Prevalence
About 610 people with faimily name Magić live in Croatia today, in 260 households. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 35 cities and 56 other places, mostly in Trnovec in Varazdin area (70), Varazdin (60), Jalzabet in Ludbreg area (55), Zagreb (45), and in Pasman on the Island of Pasman (40).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1749 in source 18th Century Census.
